What is Scratch?
Our students love getting stuck in with Scratch, a free-to-use programming tool aimed at children aged 8 – 16. It has a drag and drop interface (so no syntax errors!) which is perfect for both students and IT professionals who aren’t fully confident with coding. Scratch is totally free to download or use in the browser which makes it the perfect choice in schools, in fact most schools will already have scratch in their curriculum!

Our Scratch Sessions
Our workshops include step-by-step instructions, are all based around designing (and playing!) custom games and are suitable for complete beginners to scratch aficionados. Explore our collection below:
Chase Game
Difficulty: Advanced
Length: 1 – 2 Hours
Teach (or reinforce) key programming concepts such as variables, IF statements, etc … with this scratch Chase Game tutorial. This session also provides students the opportunity to customise their own game with sprites, sounds and background images so they can truly say that they designed and built their very own computer game.
We are new, so we love to hear feedback! If you have any ideas, comments or concerns, please let us know. We look forward to hearing from you…
